Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal, which included the work Calligraphy In Running Script by Guo Shangxian. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,852.97) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Other works by Guo Shangxian have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2017 the work Poem In Running Script was auctioned for HKD 224,200.00 (€ 25,600.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Cal durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Guo Shangxian zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.852,97) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Guo Shangxian konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2017 die Arbeit Poem In Running Script für HKD 224.200,00 (€ 25.600,62) versteigert.
