This artwork by Guo Lin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Seven-Character Poem In Running Script sold for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 7,703.40) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guo Lin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Couplet Calligraphy in Running Script, which sold at auction in May 2018 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 19,119.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Guo Lin erzielte im November 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Seven-Character Poem In Running Script für HKD 81.250,00 (€ 7.703,40) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Guo Lin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Couplet Calligraphy in Running Script beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 19.119,54) versteigert wurde.
