Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2015 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Running Script Calligraphy by Guo Lin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 25,960.00 (€ 3,032.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Guo Lin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Couplet Calligraphy in Running Script in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 19,119.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2015 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphy von Guo Lin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 25.960,00 (€ 3.032,82) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guo Lin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Couplet Calligraphy in Running Script im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 19.119,54).
