Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu by Guo Lin was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 35,000.00 (€ 4,131.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Guo Lin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Couplet Calligraphy in Running Script in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 19,119.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu von Guo Lin wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 35.000,00 (€ 4.131,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guo Lin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Couplet Calligraphy in Running Script im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 19.119,54).
