This artwork by Guo Lin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2015. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script sold for USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,637.65) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Guo Lin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Couplet Calligraphy in Running Script sold at auction in May 2018 with the realized price of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 19,119.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Guo Lin erzielte im März 2015 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script für USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.637,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Guo Lin; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Couplet Calligraphy in Running Script im Mai 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 19.119,54).
