Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Merry Red by Guo Jin was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2012. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 300,000.00 (€ 29,231.23), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Guo Jin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Performance No. 7 in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 193,000.00 (€ 122,113.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Merry Red von Guo Jin wurde im April 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 29.231,23) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guo Jin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Performance No. 7 im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 193.000,00 (€ 122.113,26).
