Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cosplay No. 4 by Guo Jin was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. It changed hands for a price of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,048.04) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Guo Jin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Performance No. 7 in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 193,000.00 (€ 122,113.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cosplay No. 4 von Guo Jin wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 13.048,04) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guo Jin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Performance No. 7 im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 193.000,00 (€ 122.113,26).
