Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Child's Face No. 4 ; & Child's Face No. 6 by Guo Jin was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 75,000.00 (€ 7,813.01). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guo Jin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Performance No. 7 in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 193,000.00 (€ 122,113.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Child's Face No. 4 ; & Child's Face No. 6 von Guo Jin im Mai 2012 bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 75.000,00 (€ 7.813,01) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guo Jin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Performance No. 7 im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 193.000,00 (€ 122.113,26).
