Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2004 Christies in Beverly Hills held the auction CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS, which included the work The Grand Canyon Of Arizona by Gunnar Widforss. The price achieved of USD 26,290.00 (€ 19,828.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gunnar Widforss have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grand Canyon in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 121,500.00 (€ 143,177.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2004 führte Christies in Beverly Hills die Auktion CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Grand Canyon Of Arizona von Gunnar Widforss zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 26.290,00 (€ 19.828,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gunnar Widforss auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grand Canyon im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 121.500,00 (€ 143.177,00).
