Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2005 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work Fishing boats in the Bacino, Venice by Guido Odierna. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 540.00 (€ 797.21) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Guido Odierna have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fishing vessels off Capri at dusk; and Waves breaking on the rocks, Capri in September 2006 with an auction result of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,956.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishing boats in the Bacino, Venice von Guido Odierna zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 540,00 (€ 797,21) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guido Odierna auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fishing vessels off Capri at dusk; and Waves breaking on the rocks, Capri im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.956,71).
