Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Guglielmo Castelli achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in December last year. In the New Now auction, the work The Maze sold for GBP 22,680.00 (€ 25,603.51) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guglielmo Castelli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Trofallassi, which sold at auction in June this year for GBP 81,900.00 (€ 95,317.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Guglielmo Castelli erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit The Maze für GBP 22.680,00 (€ 25.603,51) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Guglielmo Castelli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Trofallassi beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für GBP 81.900,00 (€ 95.317,50) versteigert wurde.
