This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 260,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Guan Yong; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Do you Know? We are so distressed sold at auction in May 2010 with the realized price of HKD 2,420,000.00 (€ 251,410.79).
