Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pseudo Character Series: Wind Storm by Gu Wenda was sold in the Chinese Contemporary Ink auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. The price achieved of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,459.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gu Wenda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Exclamatory Word And Bound Human Innards Series: He! He! He! (Triptych) in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 3,680,000.00 (€ 425,300.13).

Die Arbeit Pseudo Character Series: Wind Storm von Gu Wenda wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.459,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gu Wenda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Exclamatory Word And Bound Human Innards Series: He! He! He! (Triptych) im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.680.000,00 (€ 425.300,13).
