The work Silk Road V Form a: a-3 by Gu Wenda was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Hong Kong in April 2021. The price achieved of HKD 132,000.00 (€ 14,132.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gu Wenda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Exclamatory Word And Bound Human Innards Series: He! He! He! (Triptych) in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 3,680,000.00 (€ 425,300.13).
