This work of art by Gu Wenda could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art – Day Sale auction, the work Exclamatory Word And Bound Human Innards Series: Xu! Xu! Xu! (Triptych) changed hands for HKD 2,980,000.00 (€ 327,984.20) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 3,200,000.00 – 4,000,000.00. Other works by Gu Wenda have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2015 by the work Exclamatory Word And Bound Human Innards Series: He! He! He! (Triptych) at HKD 3,680,000.00 (€ 425,300.13).
