In February 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work The Benefit of Dual Perspective by Grear Patterson. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,750.00 (€ 8,240.72), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Grear Patterson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pants On Fire in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,383.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2017 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Benefit of Dual Perspective von Grear Patterson zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 8.240,72) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Grear Patterson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pants On Fire im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.383,48).
