Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tiptoe Head by Graeme Todd was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. The price achieved of USD 2,394.00 (€ 2,038.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Graeme Todd - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Ruins Of The Ginsburg, which sold at auction in April 2011 for EUR 4,750.00.

Die Arbeit Tiptoe Head von Graeme Todd wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.394,00 (€ 2.038,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Graeme Todd mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Ruins Of The Ginsburg beobachtet, die im April 2011 für EUR 4.750,00 versteigert wurde.
