In August this year Bonhams in New York held the auction The Fred and Elinor Wrobel CollectionThe Artist's Eye, which included the work Thanksgiving Service, 1945-46 by Grace Cossington Smith. It changed hands for a price of AUD 172,200.00 (€ 102,757.60) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 100,000.00 – 180,000.00. Other works by Grace Cossington Smith have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2004 the work Still Life With Jugs was auctioned for AUD 203,150.00 (€ 118,694.01).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 172.200,00 (€ 102.757,60) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 100.000,00 – 180.000,00.
