Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work "Twilight" by Gottfrid Kallstenius was auctioned at Bukowski in December this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 25,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 24,000.00 (€ 2,158.74). Admittedly, works by Gottfrid Kallstenius have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Young couple in love, garden scene from Grez, France in June 2019 with an auction result of SEK 130,000.00 (€ 12,377.67).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit "Twilight" von Gottfrid Kallstenius im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bukowski versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 25.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 24.000,00 (€ 2.158,74) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gottfrid Kallstenius auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Young couple in love, garden scene from Grez, France im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 130.000,00 (€ 12.377,67).
