In June 2019 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Important Spring Sale, which included the work Young couple in love, garden scene from Grez, France by Gottfrid Kallstenius. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of SEK 125,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of SEK 130,000.00 (€ 12,377.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Young couple in love, garden scene from Grez, France is the most expensive artwork by Gottfrid Kallstenius that we have observed at auctions so far.
