Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gonzalo Fonseca auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Madre Cava im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 468.500,00 (€ 416.963,33).
