Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Pareja constructiva by Gonzalo Fonseca. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,917.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gonzalo Fonseca achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madre Cava in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 468,500.00 (€ 416,963.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pareja constructiva von Gonzalo Fonseca zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.917,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gonzalo Fonseca erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Madre Cava im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 468.500,00 (€ 416.963,33).
