The work Elementos De Cocina by Gonzalo Fonseca was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2009. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,079.14) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gonzalo Fonseca achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madre Cava in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 468,500.00 (€ 416,963.33).

Die Arbeit Elementos De Cocina von Gonzalo Fonseca kam im Mai 2009 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.079,14) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gonzalo Fonseca erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Madre Cava im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 468.500,00 (€ 416.963,33).
