This work without title by Gogi Saroj Pal was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2008. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,375.00 (€ 5,931.67), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gogi Saroj Pal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September 2006 for USD 18,000.00 (€ 14,187.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gogi Saroj Pal wurde im März 2008 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 5.931,67) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Gogi Saroj Pal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im September 2006 für USD 18.000,00 (€ 14.187,75) versteigert wurde.
