This artwork by Gogi Saroj Pal achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March last year. In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Untitled (Angel in Landscape) sold for USD 10,710.00 (€ 9,654.74) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gogi Saroj Pal; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in September 2006 with the realized price of USD 18,000.00 (€ 14,187.75).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Gogi Saroj Pal erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Angel in Landscape) für USD 10.710,00 (€ 9.654,74) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Gogi Saroj Pal; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 18.000,00 (€ 14.187,75).
