Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Gogi Saroj Pal was sold in the The Indian Sale auction at Sothebys in London in May 2007. The price achieved of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,063.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gogi Saroj Pal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September 2006 for USD 18,000.00 (€ 14,187.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gogi Saroj Pal wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion The Indian Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.063,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Gogi Saroj Pal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im September 2006 für USD 18.000,00 (€ 14.187,75) versteigert wurde.
