Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Rhythm; The Bride by Gogi Saroj Pal. It changed hands for a price of USD 756.00 (€ 695.36) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gogi Saroj Pal achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 18,000.00 (€ 14,187.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rhythm; The Bride von Gogi Saroj Pal zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 756,00 (€ 695,36) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gogi Saroj Pal erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.000,00 (€ 14.187,75).
