This work without title by Gogi Saroj Pal was sold in the Indian Art Including Miniatures & Modern Indian Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2006. The price achieved of USD 18,000.00 (€ 14,187.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Gogi Saroj Pal that we have observed at auctions so far.
