Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jamestown Masquerade VI by Godfried Donkor was sold in the A Place With No Name: Works from the Sina Jina Collection auction at Christies in London in October last year. The price achieved of GBP 2,520.00 (€ 2,935.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Godfried Donkor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ghan aianbrowning Madonna , which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,572.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Jamestown Masquerade VI von Godfried Donkor wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion A Place With No Name: Works from the Sina Jina Collection bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.520,00 (€ 2.935,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Godfried Donkor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ghan aianbrowning Madonna beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.572,11) versteigert wurde.
