Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Art Moderne & Contemporain Africain, which included the work Deux oeuvres (i-ii): by Godfried Donkor. The price achieved of EUR 2,550.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Godfried Donkor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ghan aianbrowning Madonna in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,572.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Art Moderne & Contemporain Africain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Deux oeuvres (i-ii): von Godfried Donkor zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.550,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Godfried Donkor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ghan aianbrowning Madonna im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.572,11).
