Auction result well in line with expectations
The work From slave to the champ III, 1998 by Godfried Donkor was auctioned at Bonhams in Paris in May last year. The price achieved of EUR 5,100.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Godfried Donkor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ghan aianbrowning Madonna , which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,572.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit From slave to the champ III, 1998 von Godfried Donkor kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.100,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Godfried Donkor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ghan aianbrowning Madonna beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.572,11) versteigert wurde.
