Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Still Life, c.1930 by Godfrey Miller. The price achieved of AUD 17,220.00 (€ 15,256.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 16,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Godfrey Miller - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian Still Life With Fruit, which sold at auction in April 2008 for AUD 55,200.00 (€ 33,397.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Bonhams in Sydney die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life, c.1930 von Godfrey Miller zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 17.220,00 (€ 15.256,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 16.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Godfrey Miller mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian Still Life With Fruit beobachtet, die im April 2008 für AUD 55.200,00 (€ 33.397,28) versteigert wurde.
