This price was achieved in the auction Important Australian Art at Bonhams in Sydney and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of AUD 3,500.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Godfrey Miller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Still Life With Fruit in April 2008 with an auction result of AUD 55,200.00 (€ 33,397.28).
