Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Abstract Face) by Glenn Brown was sold in the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,596.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Glenn Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Tragic Conversion Of Salvador Dalí (After John Martin) in June 2012 with an auction result of GBP 5,193,250.00 (€ 6,430,479.91).
