Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Open House, which included the work Trouble In The Design Museum by Glen Baxter. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,526.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Glen Baxter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Wonder Book of Sex, How to Do It, which sold at auction in November 2019 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,577.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Open House durch, in der auch die Arbeit Trouble In The Design Museum von Glen Baxter zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.526,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Glen Baxter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Wonder Book of Sex, How to Do It beobachtet, die im November 2019 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.577,66) versteigert wurde.
