Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Stealing Rothkos was proving to be much more difficult than I had imagined by Glen Baxter was sold in the This is Tomorrow: Works from the David Ross Collection auction at Sothebys in London in September 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,638.00 (€ 1,905.84). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Glen Baxter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Wonder Book of Sex, How to Do It, which sold at auction in November 2019 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,577.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Stealing Rothkos was proving to be much more difficult than I had imagined von Glen Baxter wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion This is Tomorrow: Works from the David Ross Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.638,00 (€ 1.905,84) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Glen Baxter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Wonder Book of Sex, How to Do It beobachtet, die im November 2019 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.577,66) versteigert wurde.
