Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Plant #10 & Plant #16 Two Works by Gladys Nilsson for USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,893.78). This price was achieved in the auction Virtue at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gladys Nilsson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work By a Waterfall ....., 1973 in September last year with an auction result of USD 113,775.00 (€ 116,298.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Plant #10 & Plant #16 Two Works von Gladys Nilsson für USD 3.250,00 (€ 2.893,78) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Virtue bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gladys Nilsson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit By a Waterfall ....., 1973 im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 113.775,00 (€ 116.298,68).
