Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Giuseppe Signorini could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Orientalist Art, 19th Century European Art auction, the work An Arab Café changed hands for USD 28,800.00 (€ 22,547.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Signorini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Prayer in the Mosque, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 44,100.00 (€ 52,285.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Giuseppe Signorini konnte im Oktober 2006 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Orientalist Art, 19th Century European Art wechselte die Arbeit An Arab Café für USD 28.800,00 (€ 22.547,56) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Signorini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Prayer in the Mosque beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für GBP 44.100,00 (€ 52.285,51) versteigert wurde.
