Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters & 19th Century Art, which included the work Tavern amusement by Giuseppe Signorini. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,533.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Signorini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Prayer in the Mosque in March last year with an auction result of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 52,285.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tavern amusement von Giuseppe Signorini zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.533,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Signorini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Prayer in the Mosque im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 52.285,51).
