A top price for Giuseppe Signorini - as previously expected
The work Prayer in the Mosque by Giuseppe Signorini was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 52,285.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Prayer in the Mosque is the most expensive artwork by Giuseppe Signorini that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Prayer in the Mosque von Giuseppe Signorini kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 52.285,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Prayer in the Mosque das teuerste Kunstwerk von Giuseppe Signorini, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
