In December last year Christies in Milan held the auction 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale, which included the work Verso Siviglia by Giuseppe Santomaso. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 88,200.00 26% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giuseppe Santomaso - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Settembre alla mancia, which sold at auction in November 2007 for EUR 273,915.20.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion 20th/21st Century Milan Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Verso Siviglia von Giuseppe Santomaso zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 88.200,00 und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Santomaso mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Settembre alla mancia beobachtet, die im November 2007 für EUR 273.915,20 versteigert wurde.
