Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Sothebys in Milan held the auction Contemporary Art | Milan, which included the work Piccolo ricordo verde by Giuseppe Santomaso. The price achieved of EUR 63,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Giuseppe Santomaso have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Settembre alla mancia in November 2007 with an auction result of EUR 273,915.20.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion Contemporary Art | Milan durch, in der auch die Arbeit Piccolo ricordo verde von Giuseppe Santomaso zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 63.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Giuseppe Santomaso auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Settembre alla mancia im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 273.915,20.
