Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Cesto di pesce, anguilla, crostacei e coralli in una grotta by Giuseppe Recco for EUR 12,000.00. This price was achieved in the auction Furnishings and Old Master Paintings - Art Objects and Musical Instruments at Il Ponte and was even below the estimate range of EUR 14,000.00 – 16,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Recco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roses, carnations, tulips and other flowers in a glass vase, with pastries and sweetmeats on a pewter platter, on a stone ledge in front of a red curtain in April 2007 with an auction result of GBP 282,000.00 (€ 412,884.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Cesto di pesce, anguilla, crostacei e coralli in una grotta von Giuseppe Recco für EUR 12.000,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Furnishings and Old Master Paintings - Art Objects and Musical Instruments bei Il Ponte erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 14.000,00 – 16.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Recco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Roses, carnations, tulips and other flowers in a glass vase, with pastries and sweetmeats on a pewter platter, on a stone ledge in front of a red curtain im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 282.000,00 (€ 412.884,33).
