Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work A Still Life With Seafood In A Copper Pan, A Cat Pinching A Squid From A Plate by Giuseppe Recco. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 28,658.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giuseppe Recco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roses, carnations, tulips and other flowers in a glass vase, with pastries and sweetmeats on a pewter platter, on a stone ledge in front of a red curtain in April 2007 with an auction result of GBP 282,000.00 (€ 412,884.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Still Life With Seafood In A Copper Pan, A Cat Pinching A Squid From A Plate von Giuseppe Recco zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 28.658,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giuseppe Recco erzielen.
