Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Allegory of Abundance in a drawn circle by Giulio Pippi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2021. The price achieved of USD 138,600.00 (€ 114,215.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 120,000.00 – 160,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Giulio Pippi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a woman, head and shoulders, which sold at auction in March 2021 for GBP 378,000.00 (€ 444,052.63).
