In the Old Master & British Drawings auction, the work A Roman Officer with mounted musicians, one on an ass sold for GBP 36,250.00 (€ 43,072.84) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giulio Pippi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a woman, head and shoulders in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 378,000.00 (€ 444,052.63).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Giulio Pippi erzielte im Juli 2016 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings wurde die Arbeit A Roman Officer with mounted musicians, one on an ass für GBP 36.250,00 (€ 43.072,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giulio Pippi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a woman, head and shoulders im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 378.000,00 (€ 444.052,63).
