Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna, which included the work Design for a frieze with a putto and acanthus leaves by Giulio Pippi. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,902.55) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giulio Pippi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a woman, head and shoulders in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 378,000.00 (€ 444,052.63).

Im Januar 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna durch, in der auch die Arbeit Design for a frieze with a putto and acanthus leaves von Giulio Pippi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.902,55) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Giulio Pippi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of a woman, head and shoulders im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 378.000,00 (€ 444.052,63).
