Sold at the lower estimate price
In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Prints, which included the work Standing Shepherd by Francesco Mazzola. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,376.06) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Mazzola achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of A Bearded Man, Bust-Length, In A Black Hat, Wearing A Gold Chain With A Ring in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 792,000.00 (€ 1,159,395.17).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Standing Shepherd von Francesco Mazzola zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.376,06) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Mazzola erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of A Bearded Man, Bust-Length, In A Black Hat, Wearing A Gold Chain With A Ring im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 792.000,00 (€ 1.159.395,17).
