Upper estimate price exceeded by 32 %.
The work Judith by Francesco Mazzola was sold in the Old Master Prints auction at Christies in London in December 2019. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,806.97), 32% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Mazzola achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of A Bearded Man, Bust-Length, In A Black Hat, Wearing A Gold Chain With A Ring in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 792,000.00 (€ 1,159,395.17).
