In the Old Master Drawings auction, the work An angel in adoration, with studies of the head of a child and a hand (recto); Saint Lucy and drapery studies (verso) sold for GBP 6,462.50 (€ 10,449.78) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Giovanni Lanfranco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Execution of Saint John the Baptist in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 137,500.00 (€ 162,508.91).
